Back to Monterrey! Dudes, I got sick. This time in Mexico it didn’t rain on me, it poured. First: horse bite, then: super evil sore throat, then: super evil stomach sickness. Ouch.
Anyway, on our early return from San Miguel I decided to give my iPod a try after I quit using it for more than for working out, and I ended up falling in love. Maybe antibiotics had something to do with it, but I doubt it. I first listened to Common, which is awesome, but Remind Me In 3 Days by The Knux was the winner.
If you don’t like rap, or if you think you don’t like rap, then suck it, you’ll love this. The Knux are brothers “Krispy Kream” and “Rah Al Millio” from New Orleans, Louisiana, and they sing about the usual funniness with nice sequin-tastic beats.
Love The List, Bang! Bang! and Cappuccino. In fact, listen to Cappuccino.
The Knux is a perfect mix of what I dream as fresh rocky dancy strawberry alternative rap.
Approved!
I just fell in love again.
The last time I remember falling in love was last week when I saw that kitten in PAWS Chicago. Or when I went to Mango like two months ago and saw that gorgeous purse. Seriously.
But music-seriously, the last falling in loving might’ve been with Death Cab For Cutie’s “Narrow Stairs” or Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida”. Are you also going to be better than Snow Patrol’s “A Hundred Million Suns”?
“Ode To J.Smith” is so good. I even forgive you for sounding like Bono in “Song to Self” and for scaring me with that EP “JSmith”. That was creepy. I was ready not to give you another chance, just like I’m not sure if I should give George Romero another chance after that original Dawn of the Dead movie :S
Why aren’t you famous here? Why aren’t you coming for Christmas? Why is “Chinese Blues” so good? … And more importantly, does it bother you when people compare you to Coldplay?
Oh Travis, you’re all that Keane couldn’t be with “Perfect Symmetry”. You make me want to sing.
Love,

Now you peeps all over, get “Ode To J.Smith”, but try to keep it on the legal side. You’ll like it, it’s genius, rocky, and new… good for walking, driving and passing a test. Like whisky.
So I like music, I like reggae, I like French stuff (much to the embarrassment of my boyfriend)… aaand I like me. (Why not?), so when I find all these things together, well, you can expect some lovey feelings.
Tryo, the French reggae acoustic band I love just released a new album. It’s called Ce Que l’On Sème and it has a song called “Jocelyne”. Je super adore!
By Jason, who is now inspired by pretty Nikes.
Includes Annie, Black Kids, CSS, Chromeo, Coldplay, Maritime, Nada Surf, Ratatat, Wild Sweet Orange’s “Ten Dead Dogs”, and the coolness of Willie Hutch

The song is also featured in the Cadillac commercial “Accessories” but I can’t find it and you know how gas is expensive and the house is a mess and the kids are hungry and so I don’t want to pay for it!!
Plus not even iTunes has it and I’m scared of buying things from Russian websites. Help!
