Awful and embarrassing habits: beware! A new Gmail feature called Mail Goggles just came out.
Mail Goggles prevents the sending of all those erroneous late-night-or-drunken emails that you might (and often do) regret in the morning. Much like texting.
What happens is: you’re wasted, turn your endless computer on, and start emailing an ex with declarations of past, current and future love. (Or a boss with declarations of past, current and future hate.)
After clicking “Send”, five math problems show up, which you have to solve in a limited time frame to prove you’re alert.
This feature is set by default to work only on weekend nights, which is when you’re more likely to be using Gmail for lame/evil purposes. Unless you’re me, then that’s always.
Either way, you can play with the settings so it works all the time. As it should.
To activate: Gmail + Settings + Labs tab + Enable Mail Goggles + Save changes
To adjust: Gmail + Settings + General tab + Mail Goggles + Save changes
Now if we could only have help for drunk calling, driving, blogging…
